FABRICS
In production of Jumpsuits and Equipment bags SKYLARK®
uses large range of especially chosen textiles:
Polycotton is a fabric made of cotton and synthetic fiber. It is used
for RW and camera suits. Its texture generates excessive drag. This is the
main textile to be used when you need to reduce your vertical speed in a freefall.
Nylon is a fabric made of polyamide fiber platted in a high density. It is used for
RW and camera suits. Its texture generates minimal drag. This is the main textile to be
used when there is a need to increase vertical speed in a freefall.
Diagonal is a coarse-textured fabric with diagonal interweaving made of cotton and synthetic fiber. It generates higher drag. This textile is used for freefly and camera suits, as well as for formation suits.
Biflex is an elastic fabric made of lycra and polyamide fiber. It is used in some jumpsuit details for a tighter fit.
Cordura is a highly durable fabric made of polyamide and cotton fiber. It is used for gear bags and harness/container systems. It is also often used for parts of jumpsuits exposed to high attrition.
Checkwork (type of cordura) is a decorative fabric made of polyester and teflon fiber. It is highly durable and resistant to attrition. This textile is used for seat and knee patch pieces in freefly and camera suits.
